Up for a free download is the dynamic new single from German collective DBN. With their last release “Gotta Get Thru This” still storming the charts having come out on Laidback Luke's Mixmash Records, the boys have certainly started the run up to summer with a bang.
“The GRiiD” opens with an infectious build before a quirky, deep vocal sample stands alone before throwing you into the first empowering drop. Echoing rave style piano synths power away over the rumbling kicks, with filthier electro elements making appearances as the track progresses. DBN switch it up over the second breakdown, bringing a popping lead line that darts over a swung rhythm, only enhancing their futuristic writing and production skills.
