This is the first time I was introduced to Adam Tell's music and it has really moved me. His new 5-track-project Fiction EP is out now on Fox Stevenson’s record imprint Cloudhead Records and it sounds great. Blending together hints of pop, extremely powerful synthesizers and other electronic influences lurk all throughout and come together to craft a very unique and upbeat sound. The stand out track on this EP for me has to be “Slow Reveal” because not only was it the best way to start this project off but it also does exactly what the title hints at, evolves gradually as the song goes on. At first it sounds like any old pop ballad, smooth vox, clean production, etc but as the song continues to ride along in come the flurry of intriguing sound design; huge bass line, 8-bit & video game sound design galore, on top of so much more awesome sounds all of which are backing Tell's extremely marketable vocal stylings. Stream the Fiction EP and pick it up on iTunes here, it reeks of good vibes [in the best way possible].
