Unless you've been living underneath a rock, you're more than likely familiar with Dim Mak Records' founder, Steve Aoki.
Despite being in the dance music scene for more than two decades, Steve Aoki has received a lot of negative feedback about his sets as many people see him more as an entertainer, rather than a DJ. Whether you like or dislike Steve Aoki though, Steve has done some pretty inspirational things in his DJ career. While still in college, Steve Aoki founded Dim Mak Records and began his historical DJ/producing career.
Just recently Steve Aoki sat down with Katie Couric to talk about his rise to stardom and the scene of Electronic Dance Music today. Steve mentions many important topics in EDM today: drug use, SoundCloud and DJing as a whole.
