When it comes to Borgore, fans expect a jam packed, in-your-face dubstep, trap, and electro show when they see a live set but Borgore is officially ‘writing bangers'. In a recent article with the Miami New Times, Borgore sat down to discuss the future of his music and how it's evolving into more of a hip hop style,
‘I'm moving away from 128 [bpm]. There are so many songs now, but they all sound the same, take “Animals” or “Tsunami” for instance. There's nothing new or exciting.'
Borgore‘s shift in music is inspired by artists who are leading the dance music scene right, ‘The people I'm looking up to now are like Skrillex and Diplo. I want to write songs rather than write bangers. I want to be true to myself as an artist and create the music I want to create, collaborate with the people I want to collaborate with'.
Once thing is for sure, Borgore is taking a dive into a more hip hop influenced sound starting with his next EP, ‘We've been working on an EP, me and some of my favorite rappers. I can't really say who, but I'm just so ridiculously excited about this record. I literally got to work with everyone who inspires me and who I want to work with'. For now, we can only wonder who the mystery rappers are.
