As recently reported by TRC, some news from the Toronto Fringe Festival led to the announcement of an interesting show – a musical based on Deadmau5 to be held this summer! The performance will involve singing and dancing with a full cast (in the home city of Deadmau5 himself).
The plot is as follows: “Deadmouse: The Musical is a musical about a mouse who wants to be a house DJ but is discriminated against for being a mouse. It does not feature the music or Deadmau5. Think Ratatouille meets Book of Mormon.”
It gets better. The characters are parodied and ideal for entertainment with Deadmouse's enemy “Avicheese” involved, forcing him to team up with David Goudda (parodied David Guetta) and even ex Cat Von D is a part of it.
The musical already has its full cast and crew put together. You can check out the full synopsis with the details here. The lead will be played by Chris Baker, who will be playing “Joel Zimmermouse.”
The date and venue have also been set. You can see it during the month of July at Red Sandcastle Theatre in Toronto.
While the dates and production is in progress, more details have unfolded as previews were made available online – Joel Zimmerman has decided to fight against it.
He sent this Cease and Desist letter today and tweeted the following:
