The MTV Video Music Awards will air on August 30th at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. This week, they announced the nominees for the show including plenty of details. Miley Cyrus will be hosting the show.
Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar's “Never Catch Me” (video below) is nominated for Best Choreography and Cinematography, while other electronic artists are making notable moves this year. Chet Faker is also listed in Best Choreography for “Gold,” while Jack U (Skrillex and Diplo) is nominated in 3 categories. The single “Where Are U Now” with Justin Bieber is up for Best Art Direction, Best Editing, and Best Visual Effects.
MTV also has the “Artist to Watch” award this year – which is going to run through the pre-show coverage and two artists will compete for a “hashtag vote.” Fans can vote here.
