DJ Mag's Top 100 DJ list will be out soon enough, so right now is grind time for all artists who are trying to squeeze in on the list. While many musicians are posting promotional videos via social media to persuade fans to vote for them to make it higher on the lists ranking, not all of them are taking that route! Take UK bass master Flux Pavillion for instance, the promo video he posted an animated video on FB that urged fans to vote for music “we believe in” in effort to tailor the top 100 list to a more underground sound – pretty dope to see him showing support to those who haven't yet reached the list but, in his [and my] opinion, deserve to be. Some artists Flux mentioned deserve more relevancy on the list the list are: Flume, Pretty Lights, Gesaffelstein, Brodinski, Snails, Andy C and Brillz. Check out a quote on the list and why he thinks it should at least minorly change below, along with the promo video he posted on social media. Choose for your favorite DJs here via the voting segment on DJ Mag's website.
“It’s a super cool thing, but times are changing, and together we can help make the Top 100 reflect that. I want the list to represent what I see when I’m out there on the road, and to really capture the full spectrum of music that people are listening to… Vote for the Flux 100.” – Flux Pavillion
