Futuristik is back with the “Good Old Fashioned Groove” EP that gives his sound new life, driven by his signature electro melodies that breakdown with tasty progressive synths that merge with fresh breaks that soar. About three months ago, his collab with Kattch called “Still None” impressed with a melody that told a story and now he's back with more of the same magic.
In the words of Futuristik, “this is a perfect combination and balance of 4 different journeys that put give the listener one big adventure.” He's right, it's interesting and very surprising at times. The first track, “Good Old Fashioned Groove” weaves in and out of funky breaks and cool synths. With a sound derived from jazz and blues, “Incomparable Flavour” drops into some thunderous funk. “Funky Sheriff” has the ultimate epic build and groove that's perfect for action videos (with some twisted samples you'll enjoy). The final track called “Arcade Disco” takes back all the classic electro funk with a nu-disco style.
