Earlier this year, Traktor and Native Instruments unveiled a new audio format that stores up to four different tracks in a single audio file called Stems. The technology allows DJs to isolate different elements in a song for mixing purposes, such as drums, keys, etc…
Now Stems has opened to the public with music retailers, such as Beatport and Traxsource. Beatport has gone the extra step to allow shoppers to try out stems in their online player.
