Yesterday we covered a story where Instagram had added the hashtag #EDM to its blacklist. The abbreviation for “electronic dance music” could no longer be searched in the Instagram application because “it was violating community guidelines” according to an Instagram spokesperson.
Now after catching the attention of Time and Billboard, Instagram has reinstated the #EDM hashtag with a total of 11,081,970 total images currently on their network. However only a select number of these images are available to be viewed online as “Recent posts from #edm are temporarily hidden because of some abuse we've seen.”
