Spinnin' Records has been declared ‘Best Indie Label’ at the 2015 Promo Only Summer Sessions Awards ceremony. The Dutch dance label saw itself beat other renowned indies like Astralwerks, Ultra, Dim Mak and Armada at a special ceremony in Atlantic City, New Jersey earlier this week.
The Promo Only Promotions Summer Sessions, a three-day music industry event in Atlantic City, NJ ended with a special awards show. Here, several awards are handed out to artists, radio stations and label executives. As votes come from hundreds of US Music Industry professionals, the awards take in a special place for everyone involved in music and promotion.
“It’s a huge honor for us to receive this award”, says Spinnin' Records promoter Cees van der Zwan, who received the award tonight. “Especially since it comes from professionals in the US industry, which for us, as a European label, always was more difficult to enter. This prize is a reward for all the work we’ve done and acknowledges we’re on the right track.”
Spinnin' Records can be considered the largest independent dance label in the world. Having massive output of hit records from major artists like Martin Garrix, Oliver Heldens and Tiësto as well as loads of upcoming DJs like Sam Feldt and Quintino. The Dutch label has a strong online dominance which can be seen when Spinnin' Records receieved the official Diamond Award for reaching its 10th million YouTube subscriber. A great and unique accomplishment for an independent label. Congrats Spinnin' Records for your great achievements!
