Never Say Die have just released the brand new EP from longterm signing MUST DIE!, and it’s a pretty stunning compilation of tunes. Titled “Neo Tokyo”, this Asian inspired four-track selection is a real breakthrough for this artist, and proves just how limitless his creativity is.
The themes running throughout are a mixture of frenzied bass jerks, screeches and drops coupled with delicate melodic tones – something completely different. It all begins with “Onii-Chan”, a sweet yet turbulent cut, before descending into the ethereal title track. “Fan Service”, which fans were treated to as a free download, is full of intricate layers whilst “Ebi” (Shrimp) is our standout with its emotive energy.
