Knife Party Reunites with Pendulum at V Festival

Rob and Gareth of Knife Party split from the project “Pendulum” in 2011. Four years later, sparks seem to be flying again. While the spirit of Pendulum lives on mostly through El Hornet, who spins under “Pendulum” by himself, the true legacy of Knife Party has maintained the rockstar image of Pendulum's past. The duo made a surprise appearance over the weekend, however, to join El Hornet for his set at V Festival.

Set in England, the set at V Festival took place on Saturday (the 22nd). This very special performance did not include the full past members from Pendulum (like KJ Sawka, Peredur ap Gwynedd, previous member Paul Kodish) but gave plenty of fans quite a buzz – especially around the world – reuniting former members in one of there adopted native lands. Although mainly based in Australia, Pendulum had ties to England with former members like Kodish – and it was sure to be quite a party at their set. Their former MC Ben Mount was also a native.

All parties involved helped create buzz for this set on social media – with Pendulum using their Twitter page – followed by more teasing just minutes before the set from Knife Party. As the tweets below reveal, the announcement came just before the set – and followed with some epic photos of the trio together.

For fans of the Pendulum band and Knife Party, there's also an album apparently in the works as well. Read the full story here and check out their social media buzz from V Festival over the weekend (below).
