If you’ve spent the summer doing shots and squats then you’ve probably been earwigged by the juggernaut anthem courtesy of Vigiland. Swedish born and bred but with a penchant for Melbourne Bounce music coming straight outta Down Under, the production duo had men and women chanting about not giving a f*** and drinking every drop.
Certainly a straight edge party starter for the X generation, and featuring Tham Sway, “Shots & Squats” is now passed into the capable hands of three different producers to keep the party going, while changing the style up. Alpharock, of Spinnin’ Records fame, picks up the style and twists it into a progressive house beast. The Voyagers take the bass low and bring everyone with it in the meantime, while Enferno gives it a little US feel with some choppy, angry trap beats.
