Each year the DJ Times teams up with Pioneer to let American dance music fans vote for their favorite DJ. The votes were collected online and at over 20 clubs and events this year including Movement Detroit and EDC.
This year, Steve Aoki was crowned #1 followed by Kaskade in second and Diplo in third. Skrillex, Claude Von Stroke, Dillon Francis, Bassnectar, Flosstradamus, A-Trak, and Audien all made the top 10 list respectively.

Although originally born in Germany, Markus Schulz was crowned #1 last year and is not eligible again until 2016. Diplo came in second with A-Trak, Bassnectaar, and Skrillex following respectively.
This year's #1, Steve Aoki, took to his Facebook page thank his fans and show his appreciation for the award,
