Monday's EP you must listen to is the latest from G House powerhouse label Sleazy G Records. Oh, Hello EP is J. Worra's all-original Ghetto House hotness that you need in your life. Each song stronger than the last, this release sets the Chicago/LA producer and DJ up for a very bright beginning. Having released a couple of tracks on Perfect Driver Music and Brooklyn Fire Recs, she is setting herself up in all of the right ways.
The EP begins with title track “Oh, Hello” and it’s bleepy bird tweets, jackin’ beats, gnarly bass and killer builds. The use of effects and production really works the floor as the cool use of low-fi vocals bring in the heat. Next is “My Show”; super slick bass lines work the chopped vocal effects. Last up is “Work for It”; a nasty and low-slung bass banger. Hot 808 kits and one sexy vocal telling us she’ll make you “Work For It” make this tune a serious piece of ammunition in the club.
