It's hard not to like Kane Michael. The So-Cal producer/DJ has demonstrated his great taste in nearly every genre of dance music, whether its dark, driving techno, mind bending psy trance, and even uplifting, high energy drum and bass. He's dabbled with it all, and done quite well too. Providing a choice tune for this perfectly placed Halloween weekend, Kane's latest work is not only his heaviest original release but he tackles yet another sound. Similiar to the industrial sounding techno beats of Boys Noize or Gesaffelstein, “Angst” highlights Kane's abilities in the studio more than ever before, as every kick feels immensly deep and leaves no sonic space empty. The tracks dramatic progression takes listeners down a dark path that ends in a storm of electro insanity. “Angst” is a strong statement for Kane Michael, a deadly weapon for the decks and another notch on Kane's impressively growing belt of dancefloor greatness.
