Having just dropped his sublime debut LP “Into The Wild”, we took some time to find out the five tunes that producer MMXJ considers to be guilty pleasures.
1) The Vamps – “Wake Up”
This song helped me appreciate love and the beauty that is around again. I lived life running around blind and with a numb heart for a few years until I heard this and ‘woke up'.
2) One Direction – “Perfect”
I'd like to date a girl that can complement my lifestyle which is pretty much summed up in the above song.
3) Westlife – “Flying Without Wings“
This song is an all-time favourite of mine. I think it speaks an interesting message that true contentment can be found in the simplest of forms.
4) Ronan Keating – “When You say Nothing At All”
This is the first song I ever learnt to play on the guitar, taught to me by my brothers. In this world, we're all so connected verbally. I think there is something to be learnt from this song that the deepest of connections do exist in many other ways.
5) Taylor Swift – “Shake It Off”
This song provides one of the greatest learning lessons of all time. Whenever your feeling bad vibes just shake it off. It's that easy. Thanks Taylor!
