Despite attracting 175 million active users, SoundCloud has been struggling to bring in revenue with the company. In 2014, financial documents showed that SoundCloud lost $56.4 million. With experience in NBC's ‘TV Everywhere' and HBO Go, SoundCloud is betting big on Alison to help with the paid subscription model as well as other monetization entities with SoundCloud.
