The Electronic Dance Music scene has become quite the detective game lately. Whether it's artists releasing different styles under new aliases, or new artists that simply don't want to show their face, fans can't help themselves to find out who's ‘behind the mask' of these mystery artists.
Recently a new EDM phantom, WTRMLN, has emerged out of the melon fields and dropped “#Trendhopper”. This Future Bass track now has fans asking ‘Who is WTRMLN?'.
I decided to do a little investigating of my own. I noticed that the “#Trendhopper” is nowhere to be found except on the Soundcloud account of Minneapolis producer, Ghost Channels. Could it be so easy? No. When I contacted Ghost Channels and asked if he was the man behind the melon, he responded, “I'm not WTRMLN! I answered my door one day and found a watermelon on fire with a mixtape shoved inside. This was the only track I could pull from it. It was dope, so I decided to share it.”
The mystery continues. Or does it? Who do you think is the real WTRMLN?
