We have all heard the song, ‘Yellow' by Coldplay, at some point in your life, especially if you are 90's kid. It's longevity can be accredited to it's catchy lyrics, hair raising tones, and overall feel good nature. It has received its fair share of electronic dance music remix's, but there didn't seem to be many that hit the mark; that is until FKYA & Khøst took their shot at it. The vibrant, epic-pad driven intro, paired with heavenly piano synths rising into Chris Martin's positively chilling and haunting voice sets the pace for this bright and colorful Summer track. Taking after Porter Robinson's signature kick-snare-kick-snare arrangement, the crescendo of the record drops into a beatifically produced and gated guitar synth, perfectly side-chained in unison with the deep kick drum, complete with just the right amount of white noise. There aren't going to be many tracks that hit the feels this hard in Summer 2016, as the focus will be on poppy festival bangers, so I suggest you save this one on your Soundcloud so you can come back to it later. It's refreshing to see young producers thinking outside the box and bringing 90's favorites into the EDM realm and giving them that same melodic personal touch that brought them to fame in the first place. Take a listen to this gorgeous rendition below.
