If you follow my articles religiously (most likely not, but hey, I can dream) you already know I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to the scene and really understand how overly-saturated it is with genre-casted music. Now, I do understand that it's difficult to get an original sound because it seems everyone has picked away at just about every corner of the industry. However, Olibe, a young up-and-coming producer, decided to give us a redux of Alan Walker's, ‘Faded'. This track blends a few different genres in one, and actually confused me at first listen, but really turned out to be a great, original sounding remix. I personally thought it was going to be your run of the mill tropical track when the intro came in with it's simple chord pattern, but as the drop came in, I was really impressed with the direction Olibe took with this one. A cool mix of vocals and the ever so popular, kick-snare-kick-snare Porter Robinson arrangement, topped with tense side-chained synths, really gave this track some life. Give it a listen and let us know what you think in the comments section below!
