Dr. Shiver Puts New Spin on Classic Hit “You Got The Love”

“Sometimes I feel like throwing my hands up in the air”. Those are the opening words of vocals that have become as big apart of the dance music world as they are the pop world. Originating in the hit “You Got The Love” by Florence + The Machine, the lyrics have traveled through countless sets and forever have sent crowds into a collective scream. Certain songs just hit the right spot, and bring together the masses into a sea of musical ecstasy, and these vocals do that better than any other.

The song gained massive popularity when it became a staple in the sets of house super group Swedish House Mafia. They played the song for years, and combined the vocals with an insane amount of progressive hits. With SHM splitting up in 2013, the progressive/electro sound of their sets seemed to fade as well. Big room house entered the scene and seemed to take over the genre as a whole. Those of us who entered the scene during the legendary years of SHM's reign have found solace in some of the new acts in the genre, but also still longing for the overwhelming presence of what we used to have.

Luckily, a producer by the name of Dr. Shiver released a new remix of the classic hit, and has brought back the nostalgia of electro house. The new track features a pumping bassline and a chord progression that forces your feet to move. The epic vocals provide for an emotional break in between the two sections of high energy house paradise and brings the track together with perfect highs and lows. We haven't been able to stop listening to this track since we heard it, and we have a feeling you're going to have a lot of love for this one as well. Take a listen below and let us know if you're feeling the love!
