Bonnaroo Festival entered it's 15th anniversary and celebrates longevity in throwing a success festival year after year. However, as we all know, festivals come with large crowds and illegal substances. Bonnaroo saw about 100 citations and 12 arrests within the first day. Most of those arrests occurring overnight after the music concluded. Most of the citations and arrests have been attributed to disorderly conduct and possession of a controlled substance. No medical emergencies have been reported on the first day.
Now, as an opinion, I'm not here to promote drug use or abuse, but, I feel like this is an invasion of the culture of festivals. To seemingly ‘patrol' the camp grounds way after the music has concluded looking to ‘bust' festival goers for winding down after a long day and enjoying in a collaborative group experience is just plain peanuts.
To each his own, I guess.
