It's that special time of the year again. DJ Mag's Top 100 List is making its way through our social media channels. What originally began as a semi-respected poll has turned into a complete misrepresentation of the dance music scene today.
The “top DJs” today are known for DJs that solicit votes at Tomorrowland, run multi-thousand dollar marketing campaigns and are DJs more focused on winning, than their fans themselves.
Last year, the Top 100 DJs Poll saw almost one million votes casted from every country on the planet. 2015 saw 21 new entries, 2 re-entries and 7 non-movers. Oliver Heldens became the highest casted house DJ and Diplo moved into the Top 20 alongside Skrillex.
The Top 100 DJs Awards Party will be crowned on October 19th at Amsterdam‘s Heineken Music Hall. Cast your votes here.
