Having only fairly recently signed with highly respected drum & bass label V Recordings, it's safe to say Paul T and Edward Oberon are killing it with their releases at the moment. Out right now through the label is their new three-track EP, which features some diverse cuts.
The pair describes the collection, “It’s almost a textbook of how we remain musically versatile, within the context of a consistently soulful sound. No matter what we do, we still want to maintain our identity. The idea is to allow listeners to absorb each song of the single as a cohesive experience within itself.”
The title track is an outpouring of soul and vocal-led melodic energy, a fantastic opener here. “Taking Ober More” strikes harder, but still retains a huge amount vocal power, whilst “Fire” is a gritty, dark roller that thoroughly hooks you in from the start.
