As summer slowly comes to the end, there's no doubt that the season has had its fill with some of most exciting new acts that the world of dance music can offer. Reigning in as one of the biggest acts to breakout this year, Athens-based producer Nick Martin has found his place among some of the more elite progressive house communities. Not only did he travel around Europe with some of the biggest artists in the world, but he's been slowly releasing new music that is well-deserving of more worldwide attention. While his year is far from over, we've taken the time to reflect back on the his five top tracks that have carried him to where he is today.
Nick Martin – Looking For Love (feat. Nat Dunn)
A story within itself, “Looking For Love” is Nick Martin's biggest summer anthem to date. Filled with lively synth rides, waving vocal chops, cinematic chord progressions and Nat Dunn's lovelorn lyricism, the Grecian producer's standout single is a melodic house masterpiece.
Nick Martin – Reality (feat. Lauren Bennett)
A more pensive, thoughtful piece compared to the prior, Martin's single, “Reality” featuring Lauren Bennett, is a starry-eyed journey through elevated guitar rhythms and hurried percussion, melded together with an ominous undertone.
Nick Martin – Sigma
Progressive house at its core, Nick Martin's more club-leaning single, “Sigma,” is an unforgiving electro-crazed monster. This song is fit for the main stage of today's biggest festivals, supplying a heavy dosage of high-energy build ups and sweltering synth lines.
Bebe Rexha – I'm Gonna Show You Crazy (Nick Martin Remix)
Nick Martin's rework of Bebe Rexha's “I'm Gonna Show You Crazy” stands as a fierce head-nodding, summertime groove. Supplied with a robust, invigorating aura, the track strikes a fine line between impact and energy.
You can still catch Nick Martin on his remaining summer tour dates!
