As Flume is touring the United States and Canada for his sophomore album Skin, Flume told In The Mix that he's done his big, grandiose, clean record with lots of big sawtooth sounds. “Now I’m kind of bored of it, and I want to do lots of more sample-based stuff, like actual world sounds. So, like, maybe a vocal that’s been recorded and make it into a chord,” Flume said. For his next studio album, Flume wants to go a little more lo-fi he said.
Despite his the new sounds Flume wants to gravitate to, Flume has a lot of unreleased songs that fans of his are anxiously awaiting.
