This Song Plagiarizes The Chord Progression from Deadmau5’s “I Remember”

Over the years, deadmau5 has been known to call out producers that have copied or plagiarized his tracks. When the hardstyle producer Wildstylez ripped off some of the chords from deadmau5's “Some Chords,” deadmau5 gave him quite the ear full.

Just recently deadmau5 called out the $uicideBoy$ for ripping off “I Remember” on their song “Antartica.”

Now the deadmau5 Reddit group has uncovered a derivative work of deadmau5's “I Remember” used on The Solomonilla's “Forreal.” While it's a nice remix, the original song uploaded to SoundCloud didn't label it as a sample from deadmau5.

Some of the Reddit users commented saying ” I think they've used I Remember as a reference, not really plagiarism. Just like that K Pop song that sounds almost just like Knife Party – Boss Mode.” Others said “Definitely derivative of I remember. Also borrows heavily from Meet me halfway by black eyed peas for part of the rap.”

Compare the two tracks for yourself and let us know your thoughts.
