Martin Garrix announced that this week in honor of the ADE that he will be releasing seven new tracks over seven days. Making for a bit of a more interesting twist on his releases, he has teamed up with seven different artists to design a unique and original cover art for each piece.
Martin announced these seven collaborative releases yesterday through his label STMPD RCRDS (I seriously wanna know what vowels ever did to DJs to create this personal vendetta). Today though brings with it the first release, “WIEE”. Martin seemed to take all the vowels he left out of his label name and threw them together for his collaboration with his protege Mesto. This is the duo's second collaborative release.
“WIEE” is an awesome little tune. It is a beautiful collaboration of past and present. Old school high pitched whistles that Mesto is quickly becoming known for ring out as a classic Garrix distorted chord riff brings the beat in the background. So far Martin is off to a great start with his releases. Check out the track on Youtube below. Soundcloud already took it down for copyright infringement because they are dicks and their software makes no sense.
