Neil Milan, Clean Bandit’s violinist and one of the founding members of the massively successful group, has announced via Twitter that he is leaving it. In a lengthy screenshotted note from his phone he expressed gratitude for his experiences with the band. Without giving a black and white answer as to why he is leaving he did explain that, “It was a decision that took me a very long time to reach but it is the right one”.

The addition of violin in their music is what gives Clean Bandit it's unique sound and Neil's exit will not go unnoticed. There was no signification that he was about to leave, which is why it comes as a shock to many. Known widely for their Grammy Award winning masterpiece with Jess Glynn “Rather Be”, the group is in their prime. The other members of Clean Bandit have also given their blessing to him and his future on social media saying,
“It is with great sadness that we must announce that our performances of Tears over the Summer were Neil's last shows with Clean Bandit”.
“He told us recently that he has decided to leave. We have had a wonderful ride together and we are extremely excited to see what he does next. We are also very much looking forward to our upcoming shows and to sharing our new music with you.”
The announcement did not give an in-depth reason for his departure but he did thank members of the team, his family and his ex-boyfriend and lead singer of Years & Years, Olly Alexander.
The News comes just one day after the release of their remix of Flume's “Say it””, below.
We wish Neil nothing but real love in whatever he chooses to take on next.
