Here at EDM Sauce, we love it when we come across a new artist that seems to gaining traction on the scene and is really turning out great stuff. And if you’re into bass-humming trap and dubstep, say hello to Savage.
The Southern California native is a trap producer who started making music at 17 and seems to have nearly mastered the formula to a proper head banger. His most recent mix for the Nocturnal Wonderland Discovery Project has garnered quite a bit of attention. The 28-minute mix ebbs and flows almost seamlessly with ample amount of drops that are sure to make any bass lover nod their head.
But the News today is that he’s dropping his new politically charged track “America” as an exclusive to us all here on EDM Sauce. He starts by laying down the bass line and then infuses the ridiculous commentary of both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, all while letting it hum all the way through. Savage says his intent for the track is to “come across as a representation of the corrupt, dystopian society that is the current general election. This election has arguably been the biggest shit show of our time.”
While there may be some truth to his description of the time we're in, the track is simple, yet complex with high pitched synths, nicely-timed manufactured vocals and drops that are dirty and grimy – all things we look for in a good trap song.
Bottom line is, Savage is definitely someone you should keep your eye on. His Soundcloud is full of Slander-esque (who he notes as his biggest influence these days) remixes and original tracks that go just as hard too. He’s also got plans for a Music Video to accompany his Discovery Project for Nocturnal Wonderland, as well as the sixth episode in his “Whole Shebang” series all to come this year.
So look him up and become a fan because this guy is well on his way to making waves in the trap game. If you ask him, he’ll describe his music as “wild, fierce and hardcore” and then prompt us all to #StaySavage.
Find him on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Soundcloud.
And by the way, if you're a Slander or NGHTMRE fan, you can show your support with one of Savage's “Slander NGHTMRE '16” t-shirts.
