For the devout festival-goer, you are very much aware of the magic that is Tomorrowland. Originating in Belgium, this 3-day festival has built a reputation for being a magical event where all the ‘People of Tomorrow’ come together to unite in harmonious music and love.
For those of us in the U.S., we got to experience that enchantment when the festival came to Georgia from 2013 through 2015. Only to get shutdown after a treacherous
2015 year plagued with rain and mud, leaving thousands stranded in the backwoods of the Chattahoochee Hills. In fact, the TomorrowWorld event worldwide declared bankruptcy in 2016.
And now, it is with great regret that we must inform you, that Tomorrowland Brazil is also canceled. This is another installation of the festival that won’t see the light of day for 2017. The reason why? It’s been reported that poor economic conditions and “uncertainty” in Brazil will keep this iteration from happening next year. ID&T, the production company that’s responsible for the Belgium festival does say that it plans to return to Brazil in 2018.
So it looks like all of us avid Tomorrowland fans must seek out Belgium for a chance to become a ‘Person of Tomorrow' this year. The good news is, they are planning two separate weekends for 2017. Dates are still TBD, but we’ll keep you updated as soon as we know more.
Get excited and watch the freshly-released Tomorrowland Belgium 2016 Aftermovie below.
