It has been one the biggest stories the past few weeks. Eric Prydz went above and beyond to help grant the wish of a dying fan. James Lillo was diagnosed with terminal cancer and had one wish before succumbing to the disease, to see Eric Prydz live in concert one last time. James was what we consider a super fan by all standards, an avid redditer who was always active in the Prydz subreddits. Prydz was so moved by the mans dying wish that he decided to help him achieve it. Tragically before the arranged show could happen James passed away.
This was absolutely devastating for Eric. He had worked so hard and became close with the man before his passing. The legendary artist decided to do the next best thing, if James couldn't be there then he would hold the shows in his memory and all proceeds would go to cancer research.
Prydz played two incredible shows at Sound Nightclub and during the second outing Eric debuted a song personalized to James Lillo. What has now become known as ‘Lillo ID3' is a euphoric, beautiful and entirely uplifting. The tracks structure is a juxtaposition to the heartbreaking reality which inspired its production. James may have passed, but he will always live on in this beautiful song. Take a listen below.
