To say 2016 was a good year for Two Friends would be quite an understatement. They released their first original tracks as well as a slew of hilarious music videos, continued to murder the remix game and embarked on a tour around the country. Today the duo dropped the official remix package for their hit original ‘Overdose'.
The package contains remixes by CRWNS, Sokko, Jameston Thieves, and Jinco. While the original track was euphoric and progressive in nature these four artists have taken the soul of Overdose and made it entirely their own. CRWNS takes a fantastic future bass approach on the track while Sokko adds in his signature upbeat bouncing house style. Sokko's remix really borders on tropical but adds in a flare of unusual percussion to keep it grounded in house.
Jamestone Thieves turns the song entirely on its head and gives it an intense bass house and dubstep drop. This will no doubt be a big hit in the sets of artists who are more focused on intensity, as with the original vocal the result is stellar. Finally Jinco flips the track and fills it with vocal chops to give a rather dark vibe to a track whose original mix was happy and upbeat. Overall this remix package is strong to say the least.
