CMC$ Releases future-pop anthem for your 2017 summer fling.
Dutch DJ and Producer CMC$ dropped his new future-pop tune Keys ft. vocals by Jalise Romy. The song intros with light melodic piano, quickly supported by a slow yet purposeful beat and no-strings-attached airy synths. Accompanied by powerful lyrics from a relatively unknown but undoubtedly talented Jalise Romy, Keys alludes to a fresh start after previous heartbreak. The song speaks to letting go of vulnerabilities of the past and allowing new love and trust to build and flourish. The dramatic hook plays out somewhat reminiscent of The Chainsmokers 2016 release All We Know, but showcases CMC$’s taste making future bass abilities. This extremely catchy tune pulls at you in all the right places.
CMC$ 2017 ComeUp
Although he has only been on the scene for 4 short years, CMC$ (See Me Counting Stacks) has already made a name for himself both in Amsterdam and internationally. This is far from his first foray into the realm of world renowned artists and upper echelon EDM production. He already boasts tracks released on Spinnin Records, Mad Decent, Barong Family and Mixmash Records. He has several originals posted, as well as multiple trap remixes of popular songs. As per his Facebook page, he is authorized to compose official remixes for Laidback Luke, Firebeatz, Jay Hardway and GTA. This fresh release for the 22-year-old producer comes hot off the heels of Not Going Home, a track released a month ago, with DVBBS & Gia Koka that has also gained traction. Currently, Not Going Home is at about 4.5 million plays on YouTube alone. There has also been speculation that CMC$ was involved in ghost producing Martin Garrix’s 2016 mega-hit In the Name of Love. As of writing this, Keys has just surpassed 650k in one week.
Even as cold temperatures sweep across the majority of North America, CMC$ and Jalise Romy’s Keys will warm your soul and leave you longing for summer love. Keep this track in your playlist, as we’ll probably be hearing some remixes of it come festival season.
