It has barely been over 24 hours since five lives were lost and hundreds were changed forever when gunmen fired upon a closing party of the BPM festival.
Now Playa del Carmen has announced it will be banning all electronic music events, including BPM permanently and the Arena festival slated for next month. News that cartels were involved is circulating all over. Our staff writer who was covering the event said the cartel presence was obvious, as men offered her drugs in almosy every store and restaurant she entered.
In another development local media in the Playa area are reporting a photo of an apparent spray painted sheet that reads in short that the Los Zetas cartel is responsible for the massacre because BPM organizers did not pay them off the amount of money they demanded in an attempt at extortion.
