Savoy continues to expand their resume to include multiple genres. You can now add Disco to the mix. That is right the laser kings are back at it with their latest release “Living Color” featuring Fatherdude. This track has a wonderful vibe to it. Smooth from the start, Living Color's groove bassline bounces along until the velvety vocals of Fatherdude take the song to a new level. Savoy brings the funk with a dash of soul and channelling their inner Chromeo on this one.
The trio even stated, “We wanted to make something that doesn't sound like a trend or something that might be expected of us – but more a culmination of who we really are as artists and what has inspired us the most.” I think you can file this under mission accomplished. I will continue to watch this band unfold great things for people to dance to. Savoy is currently on tour, with support from Puppet! That is what I call getting a bang for your show dollar.
