Donald Trump's new press Secretary, Sean Spicer threw some shade back in 2014. Besides his bizarre beef with Dippin' Dots Spicer has also tweeted against Daft Punk. During the Grammy's in 2014 the french electronic duo preformed alongside Steve Wonder. Spicer tweeted, “Daft Funk — this is your 10 seconds in the spotlight – u r blowing it #GRAMMYs #Grammys2014.”
What is even worse-he couldn't get the duo's name correct, Daft Funk. Despite the name mess up he later tweeted that he was “an early and still fan”. Unfortunately, he followed up his remarks with,”…but come on helmets? tey need to grow up.” Yes, “they” is spelled wrong, yes he just told the iconic robotic helmet wearing duo to grow up. Was he aware that Daft Punk has been wearing these since 2001? Sounds like that is a “No”.
