Electronic music is not the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Valentine's Day and/or love. That being said dance music over the years has laid down some pretty serious love songs that will make even the most hardened of hearts melt upon listening. In honor the most loving day of the year, I have compiled the top 10 EDM Love Songs to ever grace our ears. These are perfect to put on whether you are getting down to business or getting down on yourself because you're cripplingly alone. Some of these are happy while others are sad. The only thing we can say for sure is that there are definitely dozens out there I wish I could've included but this is the top 10.
The Top 10 EDM Love Songs Ever Made
10. Dash Berlin & Jay Cosmic – ‘Here Tonight'
An EDM love songs list without Dash Berlin is like trying to write a paper without using the letter A, it turns out entirely insane. The trio of producers known as Dash Berlin came out with their mega hit ‘Here Tonight' in 2014 and every since it has provided incredible sing along moments at festivals across the world. The song speaks of taking a chance on love and not waiting for the moment to pass. So are you going to let the moment pass this Valentine's Day?
9. Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding – ‘I Need Your Love'
This 2013 chart topper is one of the more upbeat entries in our list, but it is an absolute powerhouse of both emotion and quality. Calvin Harris teamed up with Ellie Goulding to create one of the most catchy tracks and romantically convincing displays of acting in a music video. It is an absolute guarantee that this song will put you in a good mood whether you are spending your Valentine's Day with your dog or with you significant other.
8. ZHU – ‘Hometown Girl”
This one might come as a surprise to some people. I mean this track is barely even six months old and it is making its way onto a best ever list? Yes. It is, because this song is a ballad borderline on the sublime. ‘Hometown Girl' is not only a beautiful mix of hip hop, R&B, and house but it is also a track filled with nostalgia and introspection. Listening to this beautiful piece of work will have you thinking about the girl that got away in high school.
7. Porter Robinson & Mat Zo – ‘Easy'
Is this a love song? That is probably the biggest question to answer when it comes to this track, but for all intents and purposes in this list – it absolutely is. Porter and Mat Zo teamed up a several years ago and gifted us this euphoric progressive house anthem. The hook of “Cause lovin' you is easy” will be stuck in your head and when that tension final drops into the beautiful break down you will be ready to love whoever you lock eyes with next.
6. Above & Beyond – ‘Thing Called Love'
Did you really think you were going to get through a EDM love songs list without the masters of making you cry? I didn't think so. Above & Beyond have been getting grown men in touch with their feels before Drake could even walk. These guys know how to get to the core of emotions. ‘Thing Called Love' is a beautiful ballad and features an incredible juxtaposition between a dark, ominous verse and an uplifting chorus.
5. Kaskade – ‘Eyes'
Kaskade, man. This guy's tracks will have you posting in the missed connections part of craigslist after you glance over at the driver of the car next to you. He is the master of bringing in deep emotions to his music and no track better exemplifies this than his legendary hit ‘Eyes'. This track will have you tearing up and questioning why. Kaskade‘s ability to make the instrumental of the track as emotional as the lyrics will keep people crying for years to come.
4. Calvin Harris – ‘Electro Man'

I bet you didn't except to see Calvin back on this list? Well for his next entry we are revisiting his arguably best album which is almost 10 years old now and the song ‘Electro Man'. Calvin used to have a sensitive side and was full of EDM love songs. ‘Electro Man' is a quirky ballad full of buzzing synths, disco undertones and beautiful lyrics by the man himself. ‘Electro Man' tells the sad and engrossing story of finding love when you least expect, or feel unlovable. If you are unfamiliar with Calvin's earlier work, this is a great place to start.
3. Daft Punk – ‘Digital Love'

Honestly I am sure most of you have been wondering when some Daft Punk was going to show up on this list. Their first entry (yes there will be another one) is their upbeat dreamy electro pop ballad ‘Digital Love' off their massively influential 2001 LP, Discovery. ‘Digital Love' is filled with classic vocoder, electrifying guitar riffs (probably done on the synth), and lyrics that will make you think about every dream that ended just a little too soon.
2. Above & Beyond – ‘Sun and Moon'
Yes do not worry, I did not forget ‘Sun & Moon'. While this song tends to focus more on love lost than love itself, it is still no doubt one of the classic EDM love songs in every right. The chorus has become as close to legendary as possible at this point, being one of the most recognizable lyrics in all of dance music. When seen live the crowd can be heard singing the classic hook of “I'm Sorry Baby…” from miles away. So if you were recently dumped prior to this Valentine's Days then grab a boom box and play this underneath the window of the girl or guy who ripped your heart out.
1. Daft Punk – ‘Something About Us'

Of course this is number one. It also might just be the saddest song on our list. ‘Something About Us' is one of the best electronic songs ever made, and easily the best Daft Punk track to ever grace our ear drums. The track talks about while chemistry may exist between two individuals, at the end of the day, timing is everything. So if you have one that got away this Valentine's Day, put this on and snuggle up with two men that you know will never leave – Ben & Jerry.
So there you have it. Our total list of the greatest EDM love songs ever made. Now before you say it – I know, I know…we forgot some. So instead of freaking out drop your suggestions in the comments and maybe we can follow up with part 2!
