Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, Peter Dougherty aka Moon Boots has left his cosmic footprint on the underground electronic scene over recent years. He has been around for quite awhile, breaking through the French Express label alongside Jonas Rathsman and Perseus. In late 2015, he made his Anjunadeep debut with Red Sky, a cult favorite with support from Annie Mac, Skream, Jason Bentley, Jamie Jones, Gorgon City, and more.
The disco house veteran returns to the label releasing Tear My Heart featuring the UK soul singer Lulu James (signed to Black Butter) whose worked with everyone Rudimental to John Hopkins. This will be the first single to be taken from his debut album First Landing. Through the bright passionate vocals, Tear My Heart is full of warm low-end and elaborate melodies. It allows you to drift through time and space, making all your worries and troubles disappear. Stay tuned for a remix package featuring Marquis Hawkes and Justin Jay.
The album is on Anjunadeep and will be out in late spring. It follows in the footsteps of house giants Dusky and Cubicolor, who both released albums on Above & Beyond's house imprint. Moon Boots has taken his sound globally with a busy touring schedule taking on some of the world’s best clubs and music festivals.
