California, a state known for its parties, DJs and entertainment, is looking to extend the last call 2 hours later.
In most states across the United States, venues and bars must close at 2AM due to laws placed in 1935. California State Senator Scott Wiener is looking to change this law though. Wiener has proposed the LOCAL Act (Let Our Communities Adjust Late Night) which will allow business to stay open from the hours of 2am to 4am with the approval of local communities.
I'm introducing legislation to allow (but not require) cities to extend alcohol service to 4 am. Nightlife matters. https://t.co/sAtftnLPPt
