The rumors have been flying about new unreleased Calvin Harris. Specifically a potential collaboration with Beyoncé. Honestly we looked at the evidence and it is weaker than Obama being the antichrist theory. We decided to look into it ourselves though and visited ASCAP, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, to see if we could find some details on some unreleased Calvin Harris. ASCAP is where song writers go and register their lyrics and songs. You might remember it from being where the whole Kygo and Selena Gomez collaboration was discovered.
What Unreleased Calvin Harris Did We Find?
We scoured over Calvin's 113 song writer credits and found a few that have popped up since he released ‘Slide'. Obviously in order to find all the credits you must search Calvin's legal name – Adam (Richard) Wiles. We found a few that seem to have never ever been released yet. That being said in a few cases these could be songs Adam has written for other artists who released them under a different name, or Calvin decided to change the name himself. We tried to rule those out though. But ‘Boring Souvenir' is pretty close to ‘Love Souvenir'…
Calvin also has a surprisingly in depth history of scoring TV shows. He actually co-wrote Kevin Hart's TV show, The Real Husbands of Hollywood's theme song. So these could also be tracks made for TV or movies. That being said most of the one's he produced as scores are owned by different publishing companies. Well anyway – here are all the ASCAP entries for Adam Wiles that have not yet graced our ears.
Before We Begin
To answer the question that is on somebody's mind- no Beyoncé yet. That doesn't mean Mrs. Knowles can't be added as a performer after the fact. Or potentially Calvin didn't write the song…he didn't after all write ‘Slide'. But honestly…it only goes on to say that there is actually no evidence in any way that the two are performing. I mean hell…I have a lot of videos with Deadmau5 playing in the background, and we haven't collabed yet.
We have reached out to Calvin over Twitter to get some insight on these. So far we have no heard back.
