A few days ago we ran a short article about the dangers of fake xanax pills being sold around the Miami area. It was no bueno and people were dying. In our quest to help you enjoy your Ultra Music Festival Experience as much as possible we wanted to bring you another short little PSA this evening.
ATM Skimmers have been found in the vicinity of Ultra. None have been found in the festival it's self. An ATM skimmer is a faux card reader that is positioned on top of the actual reader so when your card is inserted, it actually steals your information (see picture below). So if you are taking out money outside of the festival grounds but in the area be careful. There are a few things you can do in order to make sure you are not accidentally falling prey to a skimmer. Mainly before inserting your card into the reader, give it a bit of a tug. Most skimmers will pop right off. That being said if it wiggles around more than natural do not take the risk. Be safe and protect your identity and credit card information down there! Have an incredible day two everyone!
