It has been a really long time coming. The hype around the debut of the cube 2.1 and Deadmau5's latest tour, ‘lots of shows in a row' has been astronomical This is partly due to the brilliant marketing scheme around slowly releasing more and more information about the cube piece by piece through video blogs.
Deadmau5 has been even more active on social media the last two weeks than usual in order to interact with fans as well as slowly release more details on what we should expect. This has led to a fever pitch of excitement that finally was all released last night in New York City at Hammerstein Ballroom. Initially reports we slight disappointment as Deadmau5 ended his show earlier than expected. That being said the Mau5trap label head also took the stage earlier than expected so fans were not shorted in any way.
