Avicii has been a bit of a cryptic individual lately. The artist announced his retirement from touring last year citing health concerns as the main reason from the touring life style and substance abuse as the reasons. We were happy to hear the artist deciding to slow down a little bit for his own good, but we were sad to hear that we might not be hearing any new music for some time.
Late last night though the artist updated his website with a new format which all but promises a return this year. In the screenshot below you can see a pause symbol after 2016, but a play one in 2017. What this exactly means, we cannot say. All we know that is Avicii will be back in action in some capacity this coming year. This is great News for fans of any and all electronic dance music. Avicii might have gotten a bad rap for being pop oriented in the past years, but let's not forget that the Swede is one of the most influential minds to have ever created EDM.
