The Chainsmokers are dropping their debut album Memories… Do Not Open this Friday. Soon after that, they are set to embark on a massive arena tour which starts on Thursday, April 13. This promo video just confirms the news that the tour will be performed completely live and that has us very excited. It is already confirmed that Matt McGuire will be joining the group for the duration of the tour as their live drummer.
Up until this point, we have not gotten a clear look at the stage or set up of the tour. From this video, you can see how grand the production is and they are pulling out all of the stops. The stage is filled with live instruments including a drum kit for McGuire and keyboards/sample pads for Alex and Drew. The duo is quite fond of vocalists and it seems like an abundance of them will be joining them on tour with Mic stands abound.
Since this is their first arena tour we can expect a lot of extra lights, lasers, and special guests. We personally cannot wait for this tour to start and it is shaping up to be a huge one!
