The multiple DnB Award nominee Muzzy released their new EP titled Spectrum on April 4th. It contains four songs, including the title track “Spectrum.”
Space like sounds, string instruments, and deep bass greet your ears upon listening to the song. A very slow, yet intense rise can be felt teasing the listener for about two minutes before the vocals come in. An additional rise keeps you on edge for another minute before the track can truly take off. When it finally does, the energy is palpable. With production styles that remind you of Pendulum, at its peak “Spectrum” is definitely a heater. It is a welcomed throwback to the drum and bass genre.
The Monstercat label has been an internet success story and most artists affiliated with them are no exception. The long term romance between Muzzy and Monstercat continues to be fruitful for both, and this release looks to continue the trend. A few uploads of Muzzy’s songs on their YouTube channel have hit the one million view mark. “Spectrum” may be worthy of that same honor. Take a listen below. If you like it, click here to buy it now.
