Trance legend Paul Oakenfold has debuted a new track and it just so happens to also be the official theme song for Insomniac's Dreamstate brand. The song sets the tone for a new album compilation mixed by Oakenfold himself titled Dreamstate Volume One.
Since its introduction in 2015, Dreamstate has grown into a wildly successful venture for Insomniac. The all-trance event has held festivals in San Bernardino, San Francisco, and London as well as hosting stages at other Insomniac events and clubs. Paul Oakenfold has been at the forefront of the event, headlining every festival thus far, so it seems fitting that he would mix the first volume of the Dreamstate compilation album.
Oakenfold, who was one of the driving forces of trance music in the late 1990s, recently played a set at the Base Camp of Mt. Everest to kick off his Generations World Tour. The trance heavy-hitter will have eight songs on the album and you can expect to hear a wide range of trance including progressive, melodic and psytrance. Other artists in the compilation include Vini Vici, Astrix, Jordan Suckley, M.I.K.E. Push, Tommy Johnson, Radion6 and Alex M.O.R.P.H. among others.
