Instagram isn't working for users in the United States. In fact, Instagram's app and website won't load at all many people have reported.

From 10:30 this morning, Instagram was experiencing issues. Instagram later alerted its users that “We know some Instagrammers are experiencing issues with the app. We're working on a fix!”

Luckily, by 11:25am PST, Instagram appears to be up and running again. Phew, that was a close one.
